NSAT Elevates Melissa Cameron to Chief Marketing Officer Role
National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSAT) promotes senior vice president of customer acquisitions, Melissa Cameron, to the position of chief marketing officer.
Industry mover National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSAT), a leading real estate investment trust in the self-storage sector, has promoted Melissa Cameron to chief marketing officer. With over 25 years of experience in digital marketing, Cameron brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
Officially on board with NSAT in 2018 as a vice president of marketing, Cameron assumed her previous position in 2021. As senior vice president of customer acquisitions, her duties extended to overseeing the marketing, call center operations, pricing, and technology supporting customer acquisition strategies. Before moving to NSAT, Cameron was senior director of digital marketing for another prominent self-storage REIT, Extra Space Storage Inc, where she directed the digital marketing and customer experience operations.
A graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Cameron has been recognized for her consistent high-level contributions to NSAT. Reflecting on the promotion, NSAT's CEO and President David Cramer said, "Melissa has played an instrumental role in the evolution of our marketing, pricing, and call-center operations."
NSAT, based in Greenwood, Colorado, holds itself to the top tier of REIT companies, concentrating on self-storage properties in the top 100 U.S. Metropolitan Statistical Areas. The scale of operations spans 1,119 storage facilities across 42 states and Puerto Rico, with an impressive portfolio approximating 73 million net rentable square feet. NSAT is owned by affiliate operators, who are expected to gradually contribute their interests in self-storage assets, which are in line with the maturation of the current mortgage debt.
